Wishing for wings - Something new Contest

A shiny Ampharos that wishes it had real wings but has to do with lightning ones (which are way cooler anyway but we always want what we don't have, right?).

Uh, I'm a bit insecure about the background, it would be awesome to get tips or something (a friend of mine was sceptical about it...). It's supposed to be a small lake and a kinda foresty background... Oh well ^^ Lots of light from the lightning, I think I messed up on the light and shadows a bit as well

This was done with water colours, black pigment liners, white gel pen and Gimp for editing (and reversing what my scanner did to the poor colours..)

On a side note: I love Ampharos I actually like the normal coloured version better but I love the blue orb
